No stone conjures up legend the same way as Dragon Blood Jasper. Stories say this jasper contains the fossilized remains of ancient dragons. The swirling, scaly green represents skin and the maroon inclusions are dragon blood.
Dragon Blood Jasper is mined in Australia. Jasper is actually a combination of chalcedony and quartz, and has been used in jewelry and decorative arts for thousands of years. Jasper was often the stone of choice among Ancient Minoan, Egyptian, and Sasanian (Persian) Empires. The name Jasper comes from old French, jaspre, meaning “speckled stone”.
Jasper is said to facilitate nurturing behaviors and benefit healing.
