Hemimorphite gemstone beads are unlikely to be cut into round beads or other styles with radial symmetry. Hemimorphite has a unique characteristic of forming in pyramidal structures - flat, larger surfaces on one side of the crystal narrow to a point at the other end. This is such a unique characteristic that the stone was named for it! The Greek word “hemi” means half, while the word “morph” means shape.
