Muscovite Beads

Once referred to as “Muscovy glass”, many window panes in medieval Russia were made from thin slices of muscovite stone. This association gave muscovite its name from the Muscovy period of Russian history (Tsars of 1547-1721).

Muscovite is also known as common mica and isinglass. It is a silicate stone containing potassium and aluminum. Muscovite occurs in a wide range of colors - mostly clear, red, green, brown, and gray.

Muscovite is said to expand mental clarity and self-reflective abilities.
