These earrings are part of a series of earrings I have put together called "Non-Identical Twins". In this series, I explore how to make earrings match or go together without having to be identical. One thing I see a lot in magazines is feathers, especially feather earrings where one is super long, draping onto the shoulder. What I don't know is what the other earring looks like because they never show that side. So, I decided to create my version of this earring with an earring to go with it … for the other side. I used 4 feathers on one side with a small ring and 2 feathers on the other side with a super sized ring.
The Crimp Ends with Ring 8x3mm are made for the beading chain, but are also awesome for finishing off the feathers.
This shows you how I had to stagger the feathers down the earring to create the right movement.
Putting a charm on the bottom of each earring ring weighs it down nicely.
