By now you should all know how much I love bracelets... making them, wearing them, stacking them, and buying them from other artists. These memory wire bracelets can help you create something simple to embellish. I mixed fibers in with my beads, celebrating all the beautiful colors of Fall.
The products used in this project are listed below.
First I cut my memory wire, making sure that both of my ends were lining up. I then formed a loop at one end and began stringing my beads.
See Tip: Making a Memory Wire bracelet
Rather than just stringing beads onto my memory wire, which can yield beautiful designs on its own, I chose to add ribbon and waxed linen. To knot these onto the memory wire, double over the chosen stringing material and knot around the wire. After each knot, I would cross the linen/ribbon behind the wire and knot it back around the top as shown in the image.
Once all of the beads and fibers have been added and my bracelet was complete, I finished it off with a loop just as I started with. I like loops because you can embellish with ribbons or charms if you want to :-)
To attach my charms to this bracelet, I strung a Kylie Parry piece to a bit of leather, then strung the leather through the loop in the memory wire. A knot will hold it securely.
