Soft, simple, wrapping, easy to stack with other bracelets, cool enough to stand on its own - these are all the things I love about this bracelet made with the braided suede lacing. All you really need to do is cut the right length and be able to wrap waxed linen around and around - done. The light rust is a great compliment gray Iceberg suede. For me the antique pewter and gunmetal components were an obvious choice. Get funky with it.
Take 1" at the end of your braided suede and unbraide. Slide the 3 lacing ends through the slide.
Fold the unbraided ends over so that they are on the back of the bracelet. Take one 24" length of Irish waxed linen and tie an overhand know over/around the suede where it is folded over to hold in place.
Continue wrapping the ends of the Irish waxed linen around and around in opposing directions until you are happy with both the look and the hold. Tie securely with a couple overhand knots, adding in a couple embellishments is desired.
Before trimming off the tails of unbraided sued remaining, stick the tip of the hypo cement in-between the fold and squeeze in some adhesive. Now trim.
Now is a good time to re-wrap the bracelet around your wrist, making sure to account for the clasp. Repeat steps 1-4 at the other end. Once those steps are complete attach the hook and chosen ring to the ends of your bracelet using the 18" lengths of Irish waxed linen. I liked adding one or 2 of the large hole nugget beads in-between the slide and the hook/loop.
