I made the Double Love Pave Sparkle on Leather several months ago and wear it all the time. In fact, everyone got one for Christmas and they wear them all the time, too! So, I decided that for summer, I was going to give this design a zippy twist.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • 2 feet of of 2mm leather cord (to be used as core strand)
  • 10 feet of 1.5mm leather cord (to be doubled over and used as working strand)
  • 12 8mm pave beads w/2mm hole
  • 1 larger lampwork rondelle or button (to be used for closure)
  • adhesive
  • cutters

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step

Step 1

Take your core strand and create an overhand loop knot for the closure.
Begin your square knot 4" from end of leather cord, knotting over the tail from the closure loop and the core strand. Continue knotting until approximately 2" worth of knots are complete.

Step

Step 2

String a pave bead into every knot (#4 shape). This will create the 2 rows.

Step

Step 3

Make sure to slide your pave up while pulling the knot on a diagonal, giving the leather between the pave bead rows the appearance of zigzagging.

Step

Step 4

Once all of your pave beads are knotted in, complete a matching 2" of square knots so that both ends on either side of the pave beads are the same length. Take the 2 working strands and the core strand and tie an overhand knot to finish off the macrame.

Step

Step 5

Make sure to put adhesive into your knots at the beginning and end of the bracelet!

Step 6

String a bead or button onto the end of the core strand, adding a couple overhand knots before and after. Take the remaining strands and add the pave bead embellishment to each one, securing with an overhand knot.

If you want to make it adjustable, double the size of your initial loop and add an additional knot in the middle, giving you 2 loop options.
