Snowflakes are one of my favorite things to make with my kids in the winter months. They make great gifts for teachers, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. They are also really pretty gift toppers for those presents you want to make extra special. In addition to giving them away, we hang them (of course) in our Christmas tree and in our windows. So pretty!!!
1 snowflake frame, 6 1/2 drilled beads, beautiful combination of crystal beads, adhesive (Lima Studios 5-minute is my preferred over using a runny super glue)
Create a complementary collection of crystal. Be sure to have a good variety of sizes. String on your beads in a lovely arrangement, leaving about 1.5mm of wire exposed.
Mix a small amount of epoxy.
See Tip: Using Epoxy with Cabs and Settings
Apply a small amount of epoxy to the tip of your wire frame end.
Using pliers, grab a half-drilled bead and stick on the end of the wire frame end. Apply pressure for around 1 minute.
You will need to leave one of the six frame ends for a loop to attach a hanger or hook. This wire will not be able to hold as many beads, so you will want to adjust your design length on this part accordingly. Use a firm grip while bending the wire.
