For this design, I made a long layered necklace inspired by summer days at the beach. I used wood resin, shells, Czech glass, and gemstones to add a variety of textures and shapes.
For the long necklace, cut a 35" piece of beading wire. Make a loop at one end and secure with a crimp tube. Slide the beads on in the order shown in the picture. At the end, make another loop and secure with a crimp tube.
For the shell necklace, cut a 11.5" piece of beading wire. Make a loop at one end and secure with a crimp tube. Slide the beads on in the order shown in the picture. At the end, make another loop and secure with a crimp tube. With a jump ring, attach a small piece of the bead chain to each side of the necklace. Cut two 3" pieces of the gold chain and attach to each piece of bead chain.
With a jump ring, attach a 9" piece of chain to the beading wire right after the grouping of potato pearls.
Slide a 2" piece of wire through the opening on the top of the shell-so you'll be working with each half of the wire with the shell in the middle. Twist the two pieces together and create a loop with the round nose pliers. Do the same thing with 2 more cowrie shells, 6 nassa shells, and 2 gold shell charms. Attach them to the chain with jump rings.
