I created these modern pots for gift giving and to spruce up my garden. You can personalize them by using your favorite colors and embellishments.
You will need: - Terra-cotta pot - Outdoor paint (I used Rust-Oleum in moss green) - Painters tape - Sharpie permanent marker (I used metallic gold)or metallic paint - Left-over beads or shells from your latest Lima Beads order:) I used cowrie and tiny nassa shells.
I also did a pot using hemp cord, I will show a picture of it in my step-by-step. If you are keeping these outdoors I would spray on a clear coat for durability.
These are the items you will need, plus a Sharpie marker.
Cut two pieces of tape and angle them so their corner ends match up to create a point. It should look like an upside down chevron.
Repeat Step 2, start from the top down to create the second chevron.
Make sure your tape edges are pressed down well so the paint will not leak through. Now spray your paint on.
Let the paint dry until it is tacky, then peel off your paint. Take your Sharpie and start coloring in the chevron shape you created.
Now you have colored the chevrons in, I would spray on my clear coat. Let that dry then embellish away! Then just add your favorite flowers, herbs, succulents.
Another idea is to wrap the pot with hemp cord and then spray it with color. You will get a nice wavy line pattern on your pot.
On this small pot I did the same technique as Steps 1-6. I just cut the tape in a wavy pattern. Then I used cowrie and nassa shells to embellish.
