You find anklets to be one of the big summer trends. I used bright color African dogun rings and playful chains to match. This anklet is comfortable to wear and full of summer style. If you don't like to wear anklets, this design can be easily turned into a bracelet.

Supplies you’ll need:

You will need African dogun rings, natural hemp, heavy curb chain, two styles of chain that accent the ring colors, 2 20-21 gauge jump rings, and a lobster clasp.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Cut your hemp to fit your ankle or wrist, I always add at least 6 more inches to my measurement. Take the dogun rings and space them evenly apart all the way around. I did a simple knot to attach each one to the hemp.

Step

Step 2

Next, cut your chain to match the length of the your attached dogun rings. Feed the end of your hemp through the end of the chain.

Step

Step 3

Start feeding the end of your hemp through each curb chain link on the chain.

Step

Step 4

When you get to a ring make sure the hemp goes behind it before you loop it up through the curb chain link. To finish the hemp you can create a sliding knot.

See Tip: Tying the Sliding Square Knot

Step

Step 5

Cut your accent chains to fit your ankle, then attach them together by using a jump ring. Then attach your clasp.
