This week I was really excited to design with these new gemstones! I was especially looking forward to using the pink opal tubes- I love mixing different shapes. The tubes, along with the rounds, rice beads, and spacers, worked great for creating a unique & eye-catching design.
With the gold wire, make 5 bead links with the Pink Opal Tubes & the Chalcedony Rounds.
Make two more bead links with the gold wire. Slide a pink seed bead onto each piece of wire, followed by a link from step 1 and three more seed beads. Repeat until all links are on the wire, finishing with one seed bead on top.
With the gold wire, make two more bead links & attach them directly to the bottom of the links from step 2. Slide the beads on in the order shown in the picture. Use jump rings to attach the tassels to the bottom of the links.
Make two more of the bead links from step 1, attaching directly to the top & bottom of the links from step 2. Using a crimp tube, attach a 12" piece of beading wire to the top of the bead link. Slide the beads on in the order shown in the picture. Make a loop at t he end of the wire & secure with a crimp tube. Repeat on the other side of the necklace. To make the bead charms, slide a gold spacer, a chalcedony bead, and another spacer on to a headpin & make a loop at the top with round nose pliers. You'll need 22 bead charms.
