I used a mix of Impression jasper, Larimar, Amazonite, and Rhodochrosite-along with two different knotting techniques (a square knot and a simple overhand knot) to create this easy-to-wear bracelet stack. I love this natural/earthy color palette, and the variety of knots adds another layer of interest.
Gemstones, seed beads, Chinese knotting cord, c-lon thread, lobster clasps, toggle clasps, super glue, 8/0 seed beads, jump rings, collapsible beading needle, tiny thread tassels.
Follow the attached link for instructions on how to use the square knot. I used c-lon size D thread & a collapsible beading needle.
See Tip: Tying the Square Knot
I made the bracelet with the toggle clasp 14" long-enough to wrap around my wrist twice, and the bracelet with the lobster clasp is 6" long.
For the bracelets with the Chinese knotting cord, I began by attaching one end of the cord to the toggle clasp with a double knot & a drop of glue. Use a beading needle to slide on the beads, tying a knot in between each one-making sure the knot is right up against the bead. This is made easier by tightening the knots around round nose pliers (or a pencil) while holding the pliers up against the bead. Once you've reached your desired length, tie the end to the other part of the toggle clasp & place a drop of glue on the knot.
