I wanted to create a layered bracelet using the new Czech glass buttons. I kept it neutral with a touch of blue from the cord. The rondelle beads I used give it some sparkle too;) You could separate these bracelets and mix it with something from your own stash or add more to it.
The products used in this project are listed below.
LAYERED BRACELET: Cut one 12" piece of cord and thread it through the button (up and over the holes). Cut another piece of cord 12" long and tie it to the cords coming out of the back of the button. Create a few square knots to secure the third cord in. A dab of glue doesn't hurt for extra security.
String on the beads, add overhand knots in between the beads as shown.
Finish this layered bracelet by taking the cord tales 2 on one side and one on the other and create square knots until you have enought to create a loop. Tie the tales in a knot at the base of the square knots to finish the loop. You can use a little dab of glue for extra security.
BUTTON BRACELET: slide a 12-14" piece of cord through the button holes, then tie an overhand knot.
Slide one bead on each side of the cord, then tie a knot with both cords. Do the same for all beads.
When you get to a button thread one cord down through and one cord up through the button, then tie a knot.
Check to see if your bracelet is long enough, if it is start creating square knots until you have enough to form a loop.
Create a loop, make sure the button fits snug through your loop size.Tie a knot to finish. Add a dab of glue to secure the knot.
