I wanted to make a flower design with the gemstones and this bracelet technique was a perfect way to use the rondelle-shaped gemstones. You could make the flowers go all the way around, I made them half way. This is a great addition to your spring accesory collection.
Recommended tools: scissors & a lighter
I separated my rainbow flourite rondelles into color groups so I could create a flower ombre effect. Cut 2 pieces of cord 3 feet long. Take on of the gold 4mm rounds and slide one cord through then the other. You should have two cord tails on either side.
Slide a gemstone onto each cord end then a facated gold round.
Slide on two more gemstones onto each strand.
Then criss cross your cords from top to bottom through a 4mm gold round on each side.
Repeat steps 2-4 to make as many flowers as you want.
When you slide on your last gold 4mm round, slide on 4 faceted rounds on each cord end, then one more 4mm gold bead (criss-cross your strands for this one)
Cut a new piece of cord 2' long. Start creating a square knot. Make the square knot as long as you need it to fit your wrist. Do the same on the other side of the bracelet. Follow the tip below if you need more help with the square not.
See Tip: Tying the Square Knot
Tie a knot at the end of your square knotting. Trim off the tails. Do the same on the other side of the bracelet.
Burn the knot to secure it. Do the same on the other side of the bracelet.
Glue the cord ends onto the ends and attach the jump rings and clasp. I did make a little charm with an extra beads using a head pin hanging from the clasp.
