Bali Ha'i Earrings

Escape to paradise with these tropical earrings. The glowing blue green of the Czech glass rice beads look beautiful framed with the earthy magnesite gemstones. There are 8 steps to this design because I broke it down to make it really simple to follow along. These are easy earrings to make.

Supplies you’ll need:

Magnesite 4mm faceted rounds
26 gauge wire
11/0 seed beads
Czech glass green opal rice beads
ear wires
patina spacer beads

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1

Cut a 6" piece of wire. Slide one piece of wire through the main bead. Slide on a seed bead and 3 magnesite beads on each side of the wire.

Step 2

Bring the wire together at the top and slide a seed bead, spacer, and magnesite bead on.

Step 3

Wrap one wire tail around the top and trim.

Step 4

Use pliers to create a loop with the other wire tail. Wrap the wire around the base of the loop and trim off any excess.

Step 5

Slde another 6" piece of wire through and slide the beads on as shown.

Step 6

Slide a seed bead onto both wires. Wrap one wire tail around the other and trim.

Step 7

Use pliers to create a loop with the other wire tail. Wrap the wire around the base of the loop and trim off any excess.

Step 8

Slide a green opal bead onto a headpin. Use pliers to create a loop with the other wire tail. Wrap the wire around the base of the loop and trim off any excess. Attach this bead charm to the bottom loop of the main earring using a jump ring.
