Add a tropical pop of color to your summer bracelet stack. These shimmering Selenite rounds create a light show in the sun.

Supplies you’ll need:

  • 6mm Selenite (Sea green & Sky blue) rounds
  • PE-4 Linhasita cord
  • Java glass
  • Pink mother of pearl heishi
  • clasps
  • jump rings
  • Beach-style glass button

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step

Step 1

Cut two 4' pieces of cord. Take both cords and fold them in half to create a loop that fits your button. Tie a knot under the loop.

Step

Step 2

Trim off one of the cord tails so you only have three tails sticking out of the knot. Use the lighter to burn the knot where you trimmed off the cord.Secure the cord down on a clamp or tape so the cord is taught.

Step

Step 3

Start with making 3 square knots. Follow the tip below if you need more help. Slide on three beads onto the center cord and two beads on the outer cords.

See Tip: Tying the Square Knot

Step

Step 4

Make 5 square knots after each flower. Keep repeating the 7 beads and 5 square knots until your bracelet is big enough fo your wrist. If you would like to add an extra bead in between the flowers simply create 3 square knots slide the bead onto the center cord, then 3 more square knots. I show an example of this in my second image above of the bracelets. I used the pink mother of pearl heishi in between.

Step

Step 5

Slide two of the cords through the button holes. Wrap the cord around the base of the button and knot twice. Trim the cord and burn the knot to secure it.

Step

Step 6

If you would like to embellish your loop, cut a 6" piece of cord. Tie the cord onto the loop. Bring the cord over the loop and back through itself. Pull the cord tight. Do this all the way around the loop. Knot the two cord tails at the bottom and burn for security.

Step

Step 7

PInk mother of pearl heishi bracelet: I strung the pink mother of pearl heishis onto some of the cord and tied the cord onto a jump ring and clasp to finish.

Step

Step 8

Java glass bracelets: I used two 2.5' pieces of cord, tie one end onto a clasp. Start the snake knot, follow the tip below for help. When you have enough beads for your wrist, finish by tying the cords onto a jump ring. Slightly burn the knots to secure them with a lighter.
