I did a mix of two styles using the same beads and color palette. I love the earthy tones from the recycled cord and red creek jasper. The Java glass adds a sunlit glow and lightens this piece up. Below I list instructions for both designs, the products are the same.
For the twisted wrap bracelet: Cut one 10' piece of cord fold it in half. Then Cut one 5' piece of cord. Place the single piece in the middle of the folded piece. Create a knotted loop at the top big enough to fit the Green Girl button.
See Tip: Tying the Square Knot
Start a square knot. Create 9-10 square knots to start. When making square knots always start from the same side every time, this will cause the twist.
Slide a bead onto the middle cord. Bring the outer cords over the bead and create 3 square knots in between each bead. Continue until you get the bracelet long enough to wrap twice. Finish with 9-10 more square knots.
Tie on the button and knot. Burn the knot to seal it with a lighter.
To create the bracelet style in the second image: Cut three pieces of 2.5' of cord. Slide the beads onto each cord in the order show with a knot in between each bead.
Once you have enough beads on, take the cord tails and do a basic square knot alternating sides.
Tie on the hook and eye clasp on. Use a lighter to seal your knots.
