Felt Bow Ornament or Gift Topper

This adorable handmade bow is a fun way to top a gift, hang on a tree, or a wreath.
Supplies you’ll need:
- 20mm felt rounds or you can use the mix (I used separate rounds but you could buy the mix instead which also has white rounds)
- 20mm wood rounds
- 22 gauge wire
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1
Cut 3' of wire, just to make sure you have enough. Cut the wire ends at a sharp angle. This will make it easier to slide it through the felt. Slide a wood bead on and 7 felt rounds on either side.
Step 2
Take one wire end and go up and over down through the wood bead hole.
Step 3
Take the other side up and over through the wood bead hole. The wires should criss-cross through the wood bead.
Step 4
Pull the wire tight to form the bow.
Step 5
Slide 5 felt rounds onto the wire tails and a wood bead on the end.
Step 6
Bring the wire up the back of the wood bead and wrap it around the top of the wood bead once or twice. Trim any excess wire.
Step 7
Finished bow size is 5.5 x 6.5 inches. To have this bow hang, I strung some Linhasita cord through the center wood bead. Tie the Linhasita cord tails into a knot and use a lighter to burn and seal the knot.
