This sea inspired bracelet has beautiful blues, earthy cord, and a little shimmer to catch a mermaids eye. These bracelets are easy to make with just a few items. I love to wear this bracelet it feels great on my wrist. I added a coconut bracelet layer to add even more of a beach vibe.
Cut 24" of cord. Fold the cord in half. About 3" down tie an over hand knot to create a loop. Clip the cord down so it is easier to work with. Cut the cord ends at an angle to make them easily slide through the beads.
Follow my images from left to right. Slide one bead onto the right cord, then slide on a jump ring over both cords. Then slide a bead onto the left cord. Slide another jump ring over both cords. Continue to alternate as shown.
It should almost be a zig zag pattern when finished. Create an over hand knot at the end when the bracelet is long enough to fit you.
Start doing a square knot with the two cord tails. Keep knotting until it is long enough to create a loop big enough to fit over the button.
See Tip: Tying the Square Knot
Fold the square knot portion of the cord over to form a loop. Create two barrel knots to finish. Trim and burn the ends of the cord with a lighter to seal the knots.
On the other end of the bracelet, feed the cord loop through the button loop. Create two barrel knots to finish. Trim and burn the ends of the cord with a lighter to seal the knots.
