This double slide is such a versatile piece. You can use it to make a necklace, bracelet or even an anklet! I chose to make a bracelet, embellishing the loops with tassels, coins and glass pebbles. This piece feels amazing around the wrist. I was showing this piece around the office and everyone said the same thing: "that would make a great anklet!" so that will be my next project :)
The products used in this project are listed below.
Temporarily string 33 double slides onto wire and lay out components. Make sure to twist the ends of wire so that the slides don't fall off.
Attach 7 recycled glass pebbles to the charm loops, first using 8mm jump rings.
Attach 19 coins to the charm loops using 4mm jump rings. Make sure to leave 7 loops open for the tassels.
Attach 7 tassels to the remaining charm loops using 4mm jump rings.
Wrap the bracelet over your wrist to check for size. If needed you can add more slides and fill in the loops with tassels or coins. Remove your temporary wire from the top row and string chain through, then remove your wire from the bottom row and string the other length of chain through.
Double link each end of your bracelet using the chain links. Attach your clasp to each end using either a matching jump ring or the chain. TIP: On the toggle bar end, you may want to have a few additional links of chain continue after you double link the end, before you attach the bar. This will make it easier to secure the clasp on and off.
