All of the new stainless steel frames are really fun but I wanted to try using the rain cloud frame. I incorporated some of our Czech glass fire polished beads and teardrops. It's quite magical in the sunlight, lots of sparkle!
You will need:
You can always bump your beads up to a larger size, I wanted to keep the beading dainty.
Cut about 10" of wire. I used smaller pieces of wire to work with. You can always add more wire when needed. Start wrapping at the top of the frame by the loop. I wrapped the wire around tightly 5 times, use pliers to squeeze the coils together for a clean look. Slide on a bead and wrap the wire around 5 more times. Continue until the cloud is outlined in beads. You can always use a dab of super glue where your ends are for extra security.
Slide the beads on in your desired pattern. You can use finials as an end cap or you can create a loop with your pliers like I did. Just be careful not to be too rough with the frame and that you have enough room at the end to curl it up. Good pliers are helpful.
Use 4" of wire to create a loop on the teardrop focals. Use the 21 gauge head pins to create a charm with the 10mm Czech glass crystal rounds. Use the 24 gauge head pins to create bead charms with the Czech glass 13x7mm teardrops. Hang them from your wire frame loops. Tighten your loops so the bead charms stay on. Flat nose pliers work well for squeezing the loops closed.

Take the 21 gauge head pins and slide on the 10mm Czech glass rounds cut the wire so you have a range of lengths. Use your pliers to create a hook shape at the top. Arrange them on your frame to fill in the clouds open space. Pinch the hook closed to secure them to your frame. Enjoy the sparkle!
